Sander Boticelli, The Birth of Venus Andy Warhol, Birth of Venus Questions:
i. The face in the artworks look familiar but that is all. I have never heard of either the artists before. I am not good with names so that could be why. ii. The artworks really aren't that similar. One is just a face and one has other people and more of scene in the background instead of just green. Andy Warhol also added more character in her face and hair. I think that he did steal it but also made the girl a completely different person. She is natural beauty in the first one but in Andy Warhol's he added a bunch of different colors to her hair and face. He also added the leaves in the background in the upper right hand corner like the first picture. So he did give the first one credit too. iii. I think it was an example of Bad theft because why did he have too add all that make up to her? She already looked beautifully I think it degrading to girls and there natural beauty.

For my artist steal artwork I have a bunch of different ideas but none of them are really well drawn out except one which is Patrick mixed with clumsy smurf. I made the body of patrick drew him blue and put a white hat on him with white pants. I also was thinking of doing the Nike slogan saying Just do It but instead of that original slogan I was gonna put just feed them and put cows in the Nike slogan. Because it is always so hard for me to get motivation to get out there and just go feed them. But neither of those ideas really worked out for me. I also tried doing Snoopy riding a jellyfish off Spongebob and Spongebob trying to catch him. In the beginning of the artist statement I did the blackout newspaper. It was kind of hard for me because I didn't know how to make up a sentence with all the words that I could use, and when I did find a sentence or a storyline then I would run out words that I could use for it. One of the storylines I could find was kind of depressing but they were the only words I could fit together. The other one I did does not make since at all I don't even know what I was thinking. This assignment was not for me. For the artist steal artwork I was stuck and didn't have any ideas in the beginning I just drew a lot random things and tried to mash it up with other things like instead of snoopy flying is dog house I drew snoopy on a jellyfish and spongebob trying to catch him with a net.
In painting bootcamp I used develop craft. I used a lot of different paint brushes and a lot of different mixes of paints that I never had to try before but with the shading and tinting it was a bunch of weird color mix ups. At the end of doing the tinting and shading I didn't end up adding enough paint so I had to redo which was not fun. I also observed the things I was supposed to for like the color wheel I had to look closely for the right colors and right matches. For the duck and frog painting I had to look very close and draw every line carefully and had to also make the right color for the shade of the frog. I actually liked how the frog and duck turned out and don't think it was that bad. I have a few goals for semester 1 one of them is getting everything done on time. I always have a hard time with getting things done on time because I either talk to much or I second guess myself and have to redo everything because I think it looks bad. Speaking of second guessing myself that is involved in my second goal. I do not want to have to keep second guessing myself it takes up too much time and is too much work to have to keep retrying. My last goal is keeping myself busy. If I am done with all my homework I want to read or do any extra homework instead of just sit there.
